Dr. Duane Woodburn

Dr. Woodburn was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He obtained his BS degree in animal science from the University of Maryland at College Park. In 1980, he earned the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia, where as a senior he received the Merck Veterinary Award for proficiency in small animal medicine. In addition to being a managing veterinarian of the practice, he enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, particularly internal medicine. He is a two-term past president of the Anne Arundel County Veterinary Medical Association, a former chairman of the Anne Arundel County Animal Control Commission, and a former chair of the Indian Creek School Board of Trustees.

Dr. Woodburn is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Maryland Veterinary Medical Association, Anne Arundel County Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Veterinarians, and the Mid Atlantic States Association of Avian Veterinarians. He, and his wife Norma, also a veterinarian at Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital, live in Anne Arundel County and enjoy many activities, including visiting their two sons, boating, fishing, skiing, and baseball.
