Dr. Chase Coale, a long-time resident of Anne Arundel County, worked at Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital during summers before graduating from the University of Maryland in 1978. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 1981 and came back to Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital full time. As managing veterinarian, he plays a management role as well as demonstrates continued expertise practicing veterinary medicine. After 23 years of general medicine, Dr. Coale has now limited his practice to surgery. As Director of Surgical Services, he devotes his clinical time in the pursuit of soft tissue and general surgical-based problems, lameness evaluations, surgical oncology, and trauma, plastic, and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Coale is a member of and office holder in numerous local, state, and national veterinary medical organizations, including being a past president of the Anne Arundel County Veterinary Medical Association. With a wife and two daughters to vie for his attention, he also enjoys summer sailing, winter skiing, and being tormented by golf. As with all Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital doctors, continuing education is a welcome priority for Dr. Coale.
