40 Years Of Fantastic Service

Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital is one of the few veterinary hospitals in the Annapolis area that is fully accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). In fact, only 14% of the small animal hospitals in the United States and Canada have this accreditation. AAHA is a voluntary organization of veterinary hospitals that is committed to providing a high quality of veterinary care.

Member hospitals are held to a significantly higher standard of care than the state of Maryland requires. Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital has been accredited by AAHA since 1976. We maintain a staff of approximately 75 dedicated caregivers to ensure state-of-the-art professional, technical, nursing, administrative, and housekeeping services to benefit our patients and clients. We continuously try to live up to our motto: Always exceed client expectations!

Preventative Care

Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital knows how important your pet companion becomes to you over the years. We want you to know that we give pets the extra special care they deserve.

As your pet gets older it is imperative that you monitor for signs of aging and disease. By bringing your pet in regularly, we will make sure to monitor and treat diseases like:

  • Arthritis

  • Kidney and liver function

  • Heart disease

  • Diabetes

  • Thyroid problems

  • Parasites

  • Hypertension

Treatment options can include medications, acupuncture, cold laser therapy and lifestyle changes. Coming to the vet is not just for when your pet is sick. Taking preventative steps for your animals will ensure that they stay healthier for longer.
