Dr. Jane Keegan

Dr. Keegan was born and raised in central New York.  She has always had a passion for science and animals, and pursued a BS in biology and marine science from the University of Miami.  She received her veterinary degree from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  During her summers in veterinary school she volunteered in Central America at vaccination and spay/neuter clinics and also worked in research.  As a senior at Michigan State, she was the recipient of the Novartis/Ethicon award for small animal surgical excellence, and completed the VEO clinical small animal dentistry modules.  After completion of her veterinary degree, she pursued a one year small animal rotating internship at the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton, Massachusetts. 

Dr. Keegan's husband's family are long-term residents of Maryland.  She has special interests in dentistry, dermatology,  endocrinology, surgery, and preventative medicine.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medicine Association and the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, her rescue dog Kodiak, and her cats Bagheera and Panchito. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
