Dr. Gerity was born in Summit, New Jersey, and attended Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 1996. Following graduation, she practiced in New Jersey for a year and a half before relocating to Maryland.

Today, Dr. Gerity resides in Ellicott City, Maryland, with her husband, their three daughters, four cats, and three dogs. Over the years, she and her family have grown alongside the GAVH family.

In 2022, Dr. Gerity assumed the role of Medical Director and Managing DVM at GAVH. In this position, she has led the expansion of the veterinary team and is currently overseeing the hospital’s ongoing renovation, helping to shape the future of the practice. Having been with GAVH for 27 years, Dr. Gerity remains deeply committed to her clients, their pets, and her team.
